Copa Nissan Sudamericana

The first Copa Sudamericana was played in 1916 with the participation of the Argentine, Brazilian, Chilean and Uruguayan federations to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Argentine independence. Since then, the competition has grown to include Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. In 2006, Mexico joined the Copa Sudamericana. CF Pachuca (MEX) took home the well-deserved trophy in 2006.
